WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR HEARTS?
Deep within––beneath the suffering, anger, and distrust–– we humans are hurting.
We call it depression, addiction, shame, and insecurity, but before that and beneath that, we are precious, loving, and tender beings who have been wounded.
The suffering we are experiencing is the result of the accumulated trauma, pain, and unresolved wounds within us.
In short: Our hearts are hurting.

HOW CAN WE HEAL OUR HEARTS?
By looking at our wounds and giving ourselves permission to feel the deeper feelings beneath the exterior shell of ego and protection, we can better understand where the pain is coming from and what we need to feel better.
As we obtain the ability to more clearly understand our needs, we’re then able to break the cycle of suffering by consciously being with our wounds (instead of avoiding them), understanding our pain, and taking continual action to get our needs met.
This Book Study course gives you the resources, language, and tools you need to address what has plagued you your whole life.

“This course is such a great opportunity to uncover some of the inner shadows and be held in a space that is full of compassion. To be alongside others who are doing the work too is really healing.”
Katie Kittle, Breathwork & Movement Practitioner
What is The Empowered Heart?

HOW IT WORKS
Part 1: Understanding the Stages of Suffering
We begin by looking at what happened in our lives that led us to a place of struggle. We do this by understanding the Stages of Suffering by going through the initial Chapters of The Empowered Heart Book.

Heart: The central and innermost part of something; the vital essence.

Wound: Injury caused by impact.

Pain: The experience of distress and discomfort caused by injury.

Need: The state of requiring support, safety, and healing.

Protection: The experience of feeling sheltered and protected; separated from harm.

Defense: The act of defending that which needs protecting.

Suffering: To experience continuous pain, sadness, and loss; to feel trapped, alone or lost.

Part 2: Enter the Steps to Empowerment
Once we have a full understanding of what happened that led us to the place of struggle and suffering, we then turn things around through the act of realization (“I’m done struggling and suffering through life”) and enter fully into the Chapters devoted to the Steps to Empowerment.

Realization: To become fully aware of something.

Observe: To gain knowledge and understanding through observation.

Feel: The ability to experience an emotion or sensation.

Connect: To deepen the connection with the self and others; to experience healing, support, and wholeness.

Release: The action or process of releasing or being released; to set free.

Comfort: Freedom and relief from pain or constraint.

Love: To experience deep joy, admiration, and respect.

Empowered: Setting intentions & preparing for the journey ahead.
The final destination? Empowerment.
So often, we think of power and strength coming from dollars and fists— it’s not true. Genuine empowerment comes from our ability to understand ourselves and remain present and grounded through the experience of life— no matter how painful and challenging it may be.
This is the gift of The Empowered Heart Book Study Course.
By gaining a strong and secure tether to the force of light and presence within us, we awaken true self-awareness, inner freedom, unconditional love, and…
An Empowered Heart.
